Houston, TX (Sports Network) - Michael Beasley scored 34 points, Kevin Love
had 29 and the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Houston Rockets for only the
second time in 17 games with a 120-108 win Monday night.
Ricky Rubio scored 12 of his 18 points in a big third quarter for Minnesota
and added 11 assists for the ninth double-double of his rookie season. He also
had eight rebounds.
Kevin Martin had 29 points to lead the Rockets seven days after scoring 31 in
a 107-92 win over Minnesota last Monday -- Houston's 15th victory in the last
16 meetings in the series.
But the Timberwolves scored a franchise-record 42 points in the third quarter
of this one to get a rare victory over Houston.
They have a recent history of such wins. Last week, the Timberwolves beat the
San Antonio Spurs for the second time this month after losing the previous 16
games in the series.
