ST. PAUL, Minn. - State Rep. Mark Murdock says he won't seek a third term in the Minnesota House this fall.
Murdock says he wants to spend more time with his family. The Perham Republican says after talking with his family and friends over the holidays, he decided four years at the state Capitol is enough and that it's time for someone else to represent the district.
KBRF-AM reports Murdock plans to fill out his term, which expires in 2013.
Murdock is the vice chair of the House Transportation Policy and Finance Committee. He also serves on the Education Reform and the Commerce and Regulatory Reform committees.
