GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Super Bowl Sunday is not only about the game, but also about the food.
Special events manager, Emily O'Brien and Mike Opland, Executive Chef from Psycho Suzi's Motor Lounge in Northeast Minneapolis, joined us on KARE 11 Sunrise to share a few dip recipes sure to score big on game day.
Roasted Red Pepper Dip
2 c sour cream
½ c roasted red peppers - pureed
½ c feta
½ tsp sriracha
¼ tsp black pepper
Crumble the feta into a mixing bowl, then puree the roasted red peppers in a food processor. Add the red peppers to the bowl, & fold in all ingredients.
Serve With : pita, or bread
Nordeast Jalapeno Cheddar Dip
8 oz cream cheese -room temp
4 oz cheddar shredded
1/3 c jalapenos - canned
1/3 c Nordeast Beer
2 T jalapeno juice - from the canned jalapenos
¼ c crispy bacon- crumbled
Place the cheddar cheese and the cream cheese into a food processor, and blend till smooth. Next place the jalapenos, jalapeno juice, & the Nordeast Beer into the food processor with the cheeses and pulse a few times. Place into a mixing bowl and fold in the bacon.
Serve with: Corn Chips
Buffalo Chicken Dip
2 c cooked chicken chopped
1 c Frank's red hot
8 oz cream cheese
¼ c mayo
½ c sour cream
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp granulated garlic
½ c blue cheese crumbles
Simmer the Frank's & the chicken for 15-20 minutes. Then add the remaining ingredients, and bring up to a simmer. Place into a crook pot and it's ready to serve.
Serve With: celery
