The Minnesota Caucus begins at 7 p.m. inside schools, churches and other buildings across the state.

In order to participate, according to the Minnesota Secretary of State, you must be eligible to vote in the 2012 general election, live in the precinct and agree with party principles. Each party holds its own caucus. Use the "Caucus Finder" to figure out where to go if you'd like to participate.

If you attend a caucus, here's what's on the agenda:

    • Discuss public policy and pass resolutions
    • Vote in a presidential straw poll
    • Elect precinct officers
    • Elect delegates
