MINNEAPOLIS - Brrrrr.......it hasn't been this cold since January 21st.  This snap will last until Sunday afternoon and then we will rebound back to average.  We will remain on the western fringe of this batch of arctic air that is pushing into northern New England.   After Friday morning clouds and flurries skies will break up and the temperatures will struggle to get into the double digits through the day.  Wind chills will remain sub-zero most of the day on Friday.

Winds will diminish Friday night and with clear skies temperatures will plummet to around zero in most areas by sunrise on Saturday.  If we had any snow pack it would definitely be below zero but the brown ground really impacts the overnight temperatures.

A slight chance of snow on Monday as a system slides by to our south....stay tuned for details if it will be worthwhile to plan around.
