Funeral services set for students killed in Alexandria crash

MINNETONKA, Minn. - Funeral services have been set for at least three of the four victims of a fatal crash Monday on Interstate 94 near Alexandria.

Eighteen-year old Lauren Peterson of Prior Lake was driving the vehicle when she lost control, crossed the median and was broadsided by an SUV.

Peterson died along with passengers and fellow North Dakota State University students 18-year-old Megan Sample of Rogers, 18-year-old Danielle Renninger of Excelsior and 19-year old Jordan Playle of Ostego. 

Visitation for Lauren Peterson is scheduled for Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 4565 Pleasant Street SE, Prior Lake. Mourners can also visit for 1 1/2 hours prior to Saturday's 11 a.m. funeral mass at the Church of St. Michael, 16311 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake.

Memorials are preferred and will be distributed in Lauren's memory by the family.  

Visitation for Jordan Playle is set for 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Northridge Fellowship Church, 12522 Main St. in Rogers.  Jordan's funeral will be held at the same place Friday morning at 10 a.m.

The funeral for Danielle Renninger is set for 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Excelsior.

At this point, plans for Megan Sample's funeral service has not been made public.
