ST. PAUL, Minn. - It was arguably the toughest boys hockey section in Minnesota. Benilde-St. Margaret's faced off against Minnetonka for the Section 6AA title at the Xcel Energy Center Wednesday night.
Jack Jablonski, one of the Red Knights' players, suffered a paralyzing injury during a Junior Varsity game in December.
Jablonski attended Wednesday's game.
In the third period, Red Knights had with a three-on-one where Tyler Ellegard skates in and scores on the wrist shot, giving Benilde-St. Margaret's a 4-1 lead.
Later on, Christian Horn scored on a breakaway.
The Red Knights won the game 5-1 and the Section 6AA title.
Jablonski was given his medal after the game.
