APPLE VALLEY, Minn. - A complaint issued against an Apple Valley zamboni driver says his blood alcohol content tested at .32 the night of his DWI arrest in late January.
That's four times Minnesota's legal limit.
Joel Brust was charged earlier this week with second degree driving while intoxicated. The 34-year-old was arrested in late January after parents and hockey fans noticed him having trouble getting the zamboni at Hayes Arena in Apple Valley off the ice.
Witnesses say Bruss hit the boards several times while trying to resurface the ice, failed to even put water down at first, and was obviously struggling to operate the machine.
The Apple Valley City Attorney tells KARE 11 Bruss has one prior DWI in the past 10 years, and 2 more DWIs in the years before that.
