BLOOMINGTON, Minn - The Mall of America is helping you tap into your inner Ninja Turtle.

They're attempting to break the world record Saturday for the largest gathering of people dressed as Ninja Turtles. The current record is 786, set at Rutgers University in 2008.

The mall is asking anyone and everyone to show up Saturday morning in the West Market Square at the Mall of America. Registration starts at 8 a.m. with the world record event starting at 9 a.m.

Everyone who shows up will get a free Ninja Turtle t-shirt, mask and a ride on the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Shell Shock ride in Nickelodeon Universe. For more information click here.

The ride was built in Germany and is the first of it's kind in the United States.

KARE 11's Bryan Piatt tested the ride out live Friday morning on KARE 11 Sunrise.
