WINONA, Minn. -- Nearly 200 people gathered in Winona on Saturday to say goodbye to a baby found in the Mississippi River last fall.
Many people wept tears for the little girl they never knew. "Baby Angel" was found wrapped in bags with angel figurines. She was laid to rest Saturday by those who found her and tried to save her.
The family who found her floating down the river says their lives are forever changed and they hope baby angel is at peace.
