MINNEAPOLIS -- Aeon is looking for gardening enthusiasts to volunteer in its "Garden Gurus" community service program. Starting now through late summer, individuals and groups are invited to volunteer a couple hours weekly to plant, weed, and care for a variety of flowers and perennials at the grounds surrounding several of Aeon's quality affordable housing developments.
Aeon's "Garden Gurus" is a program where avid gardeners may apply their interests and skills to help create beautiful spaces families and individuals are proud to call home. Many of the quality affordable apartment homes Aeon owns and manages are located in Minneapolis, Roseville and Chaska and have attractive green spaces that need landscaping care.
Individuals and small groups are invited to "adopt a property" and invest two hours per week to weed, water, and tend to flowers and perennials. All plants and supplies are provided. Volunteers should dress for the task and are welcome to bring their favorite gardening tools!
Aeon's "Garden Gurus" program is perfect for groups of friends or co-workers who are able to rotate gardening duties. This opportunity is also great for families with children. Youth are welcome to volunteer with adult supervision.
To use your gardening skills and make community service part of your summer plans, contact Tashia Weisenburger at 612-746-0524 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Locations are available in Chaska, Roseville and Minneapolis.
