DECORAH, Iowa - A doctor has pleaded guilty to allegations that he had sex with a patient in Iowa and has been given a suspended sentence of five years in prison.
The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier reports that in an agreement with prosecutors, Dr. Dennis Glawe pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation by a counselor or therapist. At his sentencing on Tuesday, Glawe also was fined $750 and told he must register as a sex offender.
The charge stemmed from incidents between February 2009 and September 2010, while Glawe worked at Gundersen Lutheran Clinic in Calmar. The doctor gave up his Iowa medical license in December 2010.
Glawe has since moved to Winona, Minn.
