NEAR ROBERTS, Wis. - An accident involving two semi trucks and three passenger vehicles shut down westbound traffic on Interstate 94 for about six hours Thursday afternoon.
Sky 11 captured images of one semi cab upside down with its trailer lying across the interstate. Another semi came to rest in the median.
Police have not released much information but say "serious injuries have been reported and some of those injured have been airlifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul."
The accident occurred at milepost 9, just east of Hudson, Wis. Wisconsin State Police say traffic on I-94 re-opened just after 5:45 p.m.
Wisconsin State Police say the accident happened at approximately 11:45 a.m. Thursday.
