MINNEAPOLIS - People living and working in downtown Minneapolis now have their first full-service grocery store.

Lunds held their grand opening at 12th and Hennepin Thursday morning. A new Lunds Wine and Spirits is located next door.

The building was constructed in 1912 by Reno Motor Company and is one of the earliest automotive buildings that still exists along Hennepin.

The store features electric car charging stations for plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Lunds plans to open two more stores in the next three years. The first in lower Wayzta and the second in downtown St. Paul.

KARE 11's Bryan Piatt spent Thursday morning checking out what the new store has to offer.
