  • HAMPTON, Minn. - Thursday's storms have left behind a lot of unwanted rainwater in Goodhue, Rice and southern Dakota counties. The area has received from two to six inches of rain since Thursday morning.

The flooding has forced the closure of Highway 50 between Hampton and Miesville.

The storms that packed hail and whipped through the metro Thursday afternoon stalled over parts of southern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The constant heavy rain is creating dangerous flood conditions across that region.

Flash Flood Warnings have been issued for Dakota, Goodhue, Pepin, Pierce, Rice, and Wabasha counties.
