RAMSEY, Minn. - Bear sightings have made their way to the city of Ramsey. Police in the town received so many calls, they put up signs alerting people there could be bears in the area.
The signs went up a couple of weeks ago at parks on both the west and east sides of town.
One neighbor even captured a bear cub eating from one of her bird feeders.
Police recommend residents raise their bird feeders higher to make it more difficult for bears to reach.
Additionally, people should make sure their garbage cans are sealed properly, or better yet, put them in their garage.
Residents who spot a bear while using the city's trails should back away and not engage them, typically, if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone.
Ironically, since the bear warning signs went up, calls about bear sightings have gone down.
