NEW YORK - Amidst reports that Ann Curry is soon to be ousted from her gig on NBC's "Today" show, the latest buzz is that she'll walk away with a nice chunk of change.

TMZ reports that Curry, who was in her Studio 1A seat Monday, signed a contract to co-anchor Today for $10 million a year and because she's only one year into it, she'll be given that much when she leaves the job.

Her exit news - she's expected to become a foreign correspondent for NBC - is expected this week, says the New York Post.

Meanwhile, one anonymous former NBC exec blames her downfall on her "overwhelming" empathy. Do you agree?
