Minneapolis, Minn. -- Authorities are investigating a fire that broke out at an apartment Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the 900 block of 19th St. E. around 4:15 p.m.

According to fire officials, fire was showing from two windows on the third floor of the three story apartment building.

The Minneapolis Fire Department says one person was taken to HCMC for possible smoke inhalation.  The person's condition is currently unknown.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
