MINNEAPOLIS - A 16-year-old mother is accused of taking her 6-month old baby from his foster home according to the Minneapolis Police Department.
Police were called to a home in the 2400 block of Sheridan Avenue North just after 1:45 p.m. Wednesday.
They said Shaquan Rulford was not returned to his foster parents after a court-ordered supervised visitation.
The mother, 16-year-old Kamarei McCabe was last seen with the child just before noon, police said.
Police said there is reason to believe that McCabe cannot adequately care for the baby and might pose a threat to him.
It is believed that mother and child are still in the city and probably on the north side.
Anyone who knows where the location of mother and son or can provide any other information about the case is asked to call 911 from within the city or 612-673-2345 outside the city.
