MINNEAPOLIS - The 6-month-old baby boy taken by his mother during a visit to his Minneapolis foster home has been found.
Minneapolis Police posted on their Facebook page that the infant was located Thursday afternoon but no further details were offered.
Authorities had been searching for the baby and his mother, 16-year-old Kamarei McCabe, since she disappeared during a visit to the foster home on the 2400 block of Sheridan Avenue North around noon on Wednesday.
Police negotiated with parties who knew where the child and his mother were, and eventually were able to take them both into custody around 2:30 p.m. The infant was taken to HCMC to be checked out while his mother was arrested. The baby's biological father was also arrested on an unrelated warrant.
