PRESCOTT, Wis. - Search efforts continued on Wednesday for Merriett Maul, 65, who fell into the St. Croix River while helping dock a friends' boat on Tuesday night.
The Pierce County Dive Team searched the area on Tuesday night and resumed their search on Wednesday morning.
Police said Maul fell into the water at about 8:15 p.m. They said they do not suspect any foul play.
Maul's friends said they did not see him fall into the water. When they realized he had disappeared, they went into the water after him, but failed to find him, police say.
The incident occurred near the Prscott Public Dock between the Highway 10 Bridge and the Railroad Bridge.
