MINNEAPOLIS - Crews responded to an apparent explosion and fire at a south Minneapolis business just after 9:30 p.m. Friday night.
Several pallets outside of the Smith Foundry metal casting company had caught fire, inside of the pallets were several 20 pound propane tanks. The fire marshall on scene said that he counted seven, as there were seven explosions.
Roads were blocked off near the 2800 block of Cedar Avenue.
No workers or civilians were injured by the explosion but one member from the fire department was brought to a local hospital with unknown injuries. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
