ST. CLOUD, Minn. -- A section of University Drive in St. Cloud has been reopened after pieces of a pedestrian bridge fell on the road Saturday evening.
Just before 9 p.m. Saturday, it was reported that about 20 feet of concrete had fallen from the city-owned pedestrian bridge that connects sections of the St. Cloud State University campus. The St. Cloud police Department reported that no one was injured in the incident but it was decided that University Drive from Fifth Avenue South to Kilian Boulevard had to be closed.
Vehicles have been spotted driving through the area Sunday morning and no barriers are blocking traffic. However, the pedestrian bridge remains closed.
No other information was available this morning.
