LINO LAKES, Minn. - A rollover accident closed southbound Interstate 35W just a few miles south of the split Tuesday afternoon.
Lino Lakes police tell KARE 11 one car rolled over in southbound I-35W near County Road 14 just before noon.
Two people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident. One person was transported via helicopter and one was transported by ambulance to the hospital. Lt. Eric Roeske says the victims injuries are non life-threatening.
By 1 p.m. traffic was getting through on the shoulder while crews cleaned up the accident area. By 1:30 p.m. all lanes were cleared.
The State Patrol is on the scene and assisting.
Several cars could be seen on Mn/DOT traffic cameras trying to turn around on I-35W to avoid the traffic jam. Authorities hope to get one lane of traffic open to ease the backup.
