RICHFIELD - A 49-year-old man was taken into custody following a death investigation on Thursday, according to the Richfield Police Department.
Richfield police officers responded to an emergency call at about 10:15 a.m. on the 7700 block of Penn Avenue South.
Officers said the found the body of a 42-year-old woman. They said during the course of their investigation, a 49-year-old man was taken into custody.
No charges have been filed in the case. The man is currently being held in the Hennepin County Jail.
