Guide to Basilica Block Party and Target Field concert

MINNEAPOLIS -- This weekend, Minneapolis will become a music Mecca with the Basilica Block Party and the first-ever concert at Target Field featuring Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney.

KARE 11 decided to tackle some of the questions fans may have before heading out the door.

For those going to the Basilica Block Party:

Can I still get tickets?

Yes, just head to the Basilica Block Party website for more information. Tickets are $45 for one night, $80 for two.

Where should I park?

Officials recommend nearby parking ramps or meter parking. Fans can also hop on a bus to cruise down to the concert located at the city's landmark church.

Who's playing?

18 bands, with Train headlining Friday and the Avett Brothers headlining Saturday night.

What will happen if severe weather strikes?

Officials will evacuate fans into nearby ramps or the church itself.

For those heading to the Target Field concert:

Can I still get tickets?

Only on the secondary market. The concert is officially sold out.

When does the concert start?

Gates open Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. The show starts at 4:30 p.m. and the headliners will hit the stage sometime after 6 p.m.

Where should I park?

Downtown ramps or surface parking lots -- anywhere you'd park during a normal Twins game.

What about severe weather?

Fans would be escorted onto the main concourse or service levels.

Can I smoke?

Nope. There's no smoking allowed at Target Field, and officials won't be making any exceptions for the concert.
