PRESCOTT, Wis. - Sunday was a day for the Meyer family to simply say thanks.

"There are not enough words in the English language or any language to say thank you," said Barb Meyer, the mother of 6-year old Scotty Meyer. "This is a miracle."

For the first time, the Meyer family had an opportunity to meet the Moser family and express their heartfelt gratitude. It was Jason Moser, along with his dog Autumn, that joined in the hundreds searching for Scotty last week. The child had slipped out a door Tuesday while a repairman was working in the home.  Scotty spent 21 hours outdoors, alone.

"It could've been any one of us," said Moser. "We heard a sound that didn't seem normal and we found him."

Scotty was dehydrated and found with hundreds of bug bites, but he was back smiling, laughing, and running around Sunday.

"It was such a nightmare," said Meyer. "It could've been days upon days that he was gone, but we're very fortunate."

Barb made sure to thank Pierce County officials along with the volunteers that helped to find her son, but it's the Moser family she says will become lifelong friends.

"I have such love for this man, his wife and his children," she said. "I've never felt that before."

The Meyer family says following this incident they will make sure their three sons, all with autism, will wear Project Lifesaver bracelets.
