GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Mark your calendars for Taste of Stillwater 2012, a community wine, beer and food tasting event.

Hosted on the grounds of Saint Croix Vineyards and Aamodt's Apple Farm, guests will enjoy award-winning local wine, beer, food, live entertainment and shopping from local merchants and artisans.

This morning, Sara Hayden from Rustic Pies of Stillwater and Dan Schwarz from Lift Bridge Brewery dropped by our KARE 11 Kitchen to give us a tasty preview.

Chestnut Hill Apple Pie

Pie Crust Ingredients
• 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 teaspoons white sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup vegetable oil
• 2 tablespoons Farm Girl Beer

Step 1: Mix the following ingredients together into a pie pan (mix until blended)
• Sugar
• Cinnamon
• Nutmeg
• Salt
• Flour

Step 2: Add the following ingredients:
• Lemon juice
• Chestnut Hill Brown Ale (Lift Bridge Beer)

Step 3: Stir over Med heat until thickened.

Step 4: Mix in the apples and put them into the crust.

Step 5: Top the pie with the other crust that has already been rolled out.

Step 6: Vent top and bake 375 for 1 hour.
