NEW YORK - In this summer heat, it's an uncomfortable emergency when your air conditioner gives out.
The first thing many people do is call a repair company, but are these companies taking advantage of you during a time of need?
NBC's Investigative Reporter Jeff Rossen, joined KARE 11 Sunrise live from New York to talk about what he found when he put six New Jersey air conditioning repair companies to the test.
They rigged air conditioning units with a simple problem and watched as repair companies people know and trust, diagnosed and attempted to fix the "problem."
