GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Promoting both activity and good food, the folks from Hazon, a Jewish Environmental Organization stopped by the KARE 11 backyard Friday morning.
Volunteers from Hazon are biking across America to bring awareness to where our food comes from and how we can make it better, along with being active on our own power.
"This Ride is about more than crossing the country on a bike," Hazon says on their website. "It is about forming a sustainably minded community on wheels. We believe the you will build relationships as you support each other, learn new things and teach about sustainable living. If you are coming with friends, children or a partner, we believe this Ride will be an opportunity to share an incredible experience."
The group is stopping along the way visiting farmers and restaurants promoting sustainable food resources and talking to the public along the way. They're in the Twin Cities today, Friday, July 13th with a series of stops and events, to learn more visit: http://www.hazon.org/programs/cross-usa-ride/
