LAKEVILLE, Minn. - A Lakeville neighborhood that has taken action after a near drowning in their private neighborhood pool, was recognized by the city on Monday night.

As a mom, Leah Mickschl ran to 4-year-old Cooper's side when he was spotted at the bottom of the pool, but as a registered nurse at Children's Hospital, she knew exactly what to do. She began CPR.

After 30 long seconds, Cooper began to sputter water from his lungs. Today he is a perfectly healthy boy.

Leah was recognized for her heroic action at Monday's Lakeville city council meeting.
