Authorities search for man in connection to Fridley bank robbery

FRIDLEY - A man wearing a dark business suit with a white T-shirt robbed the TCF Bank located in a Fridley Cub Foods on Friday morning, according to the Fridley Police Department.

Police were called to the branch was robbed at about 11:45 a.m. at the store located at 256 57th Avenue NE.

The robber approached the teller counter, gave the victim teller a bag and showed a handgun, witnesses told police.

After obtaining undetermined amount cash, the robber left the store on foot, police said.

Police said the robber was described as a black male with a light complexion, who was about 6 feet tall, about 200 to 215 lbs. They said in addition to the suit and T-shirt, he was also wearing a tan hat.
