OAKDALE, Minn. - A 45-year-old St. Paul man is in custody in connection to a bomb threat at an Oakdale bank on Wednesday morning, according to the Oakdale Police Department.

Police say they were called to the Lake Elmo Bank at 600 Inwood Ave. at about 7:45 a.m.

Tellers said that the man walked up to the outside drive up window with a threatening device. He demanded to speak to federal agents.

The bank was evacuated and the man was taken into custody by responding offers after they used a Taser on him.

An item left by Klemmer was collected from the bank for further forensic testing, police said. They said the item was X-rayed by St. Paul Bomb technicians and no incendiary or explosive materials were located. It is believe this item was the object that was used to make the threats, police said.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation and Oakdale Police Department continue to investigate this matter.

The man is being held in Washington County Jail.
