HASTINGS, Minn. - An 11-month narcotics investigation known as "Operation Huckleberry" has resulted in three arrests and the seizure of drugs, guns, counterfeit money and stolen property in Dakota County.
Dakota County Drug Task Force officials said the investigation utilized 75 law enforcement officers and executed 14 search warrants across the Twin Cities metro area.
They said they recovered, one pound of cocaine, 3/4 of a pound of heroin, 172 pounds of marijuana, about 400 ecstasy tablets, six firearms, counterfeit cash and production equipment and about $10,000 worth of stolen property. The total street value of the drugs was about $300,000.
The three arrested include a 19-year-old and a 41-year-old both from Bloomington. A 38-year-old Minneapolis man was also arrested. The trio faces multiple charges into drug distribution, drug-trafficking and possession of a firearm.
Phase two of "Operation Huckleberry" is underway. Officials said they expect to charge additional people in connection to the searches and seizures.
