CORCORAN, Minn. - The Hennepin County Medical Examiner has identified the 11-year-old boy who drowned in the 23000 block of County Road 10 in Corcoran on Wednesday afternoon.

Two young brothers from St. Paul were visiting a farm in Corcoran with their family. One brother alerted an adult that his brother was in the pond and needed help at about 4:30 p.m.

A man pulled Chuefu Yang from the pond. The child had been underwater and he was unconscious, authorities said.

Yang was taken to North Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, authorities said.

The official cause of death was listed as an accidental drowning, according to officials.
