WAITE PARK, Minn. - Police in Waite Park are searching for three suspicious individuals who are allegedly asking women to smell a rag in parking lots.

Police received a complaint from a woman who said she was approached by another woman in a parking lot. The suspect asked the woman to smell some perfume. When the woman agreed, the suspect pulled out a rag and asked the woman to smell that.

The woman refused and entered a nearby office building. While inside the building, the woman and another man inside noticed the suspect try the same act on another woman.

Two Hispanic males were seen in the area of the parking lot.

When the three were approached and immediately fled the area.

Police say nobody smelled the rag.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension says other law enforcement agencies in the area received similar calls on Monday.

Police are calling this very suspicious behavior and say call police if you are approached or witness similar behavior.
