HUDSON, Wis. -The Wisconsin State Patrol has identified two teens killed when the SUV they were riding in rear ended a semi truck on eastbound I-94 near Hudson Monday afternoon.

Seventeen-year-old front seat passenger Joshua Goodrich of New Richmond, Wis., was critically injured in the crash and later died from his injuries at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minn. Backseat passenger Jordan Johnson, a 16-year-old also from New Richmond, was also fatally injured.

Two additional 17-year-olds from New Richmond suffered injuries. One of them is described as in critical condition.

Investigators say the 2000 Dodge Durango the kids were riding in rear ended a semi that had stopped in heavy traffic in the eastbound lanes of I-94 at milepost 6 near Hudson Township just before 1:30 a.m.

They say Johnson was the only one in the truck not wearing a seatbelt. The other three teens were belted in.

The driver of the semi was uninjured.

The crash remains under investigation.
