Minn. trucker killed in semi crash near Menomonie

MENOMONIE, Wis. - A Minnesota trucker is dead after the semi he was driving rear ended another truck near Menomonie, Wisconsin, late Tuesday.

The fatal crash took place in the westbound lanes of Interstate 94 At 11:15 p.m. at Mile Post 42.5 near Menomonie. Investigators say 43-year-old Brian Paglusch of Paynesville ran into the back of a semi driving in front of him, igniting a fiery crash.

Paglusch was dead on the scene. The other driver, a 22-year-old man from California, was uninjured.

Both westbound lanes were closed and traffic was rerouted for about five hours while the scene was documented and cleaned up.

The investigation into the fatal crash is continuing.
