MINNEAPOLIS - A man identified as a person of interest in a Minnesota boy's 1989 abduction says he sent a letter of complaint to 14 state officials and agencies.
The letter was obtained by The Associated Press on Thursday. In it, Dan Rassier says law officers have violated his civil rights and "abused the privileges of their power" in relation to the Jacob Wetterling case.
The 11-year-old boy was abducted by a masked man at the end of Rassier's driveway. No arrests have been made. Rassier's name was made public in 2010, after authorities searched his family farm.
Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner is among a handful of people named in Rassier's letter. Sanner says he hasn't seen it and cannot comment because the investigation into the abduction is still active.
