Farmington Police responded to a private day care facility on the 1000 block of Locust Street just after 3 p.m. regarding a male infant who was unconscious and not breathing.
The infant was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Star Tribune is reporting that state officials have suspended the license of the Farmington day care provider.
It's the eighth death this year in a licensed child-care facility. All of them were at residential day care facilities.
