ST. PAUL, Minn. - Bear licenses are being made available to the public on Monday, August 6 at noon.
The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources used a lottery system for 6,000 licenses in 11 permit areas. Bear hunters selected in the lottery had to purchase their licenses by August 1.
Licenses not purchased by lottery will be available on Monday. They will be available for purchase at any DNR license agent, the DNR License Center in St. Paul or online at mndnr.gov/buyalicense.
Permits available vary by bear management unit. A list of available licenses can be seen online at mndnr.gov/hunting/bear by noon on August 3.
