MINNEAPOLIS - Governor Dayton has officially declared this week Farmers Market Week in Minnesota.
Minnesota has seen the number of farmers markets double over the last 5 years and currently has over 155 of them. There's also a nationwide uptick. According to the USDA, there were 1,755 farmers markets in 1994 and 7,864 in 2012.
