PRIOR LAKE, Minn. - Police say their investigation is ongoing after a woman was found wandering out of some bushes near County Road 42 Sunday morning.
Prior Lake police initially called the incident a possible assault. An investigator on the scene Saturday said the woman was "seriously injured."
Prior Lake Police Chief Bill O'Rourke tells KARE 11 the woman is currently in the burn unit at Hennepin County Medical Center but would not say if she suffered burns.
He said police do not believe anyone set her on fire.
O'Rourke also told KARE11 the woman was not raped but he would not comment further on her injuries.
Her name was not released.
At this point, the Prior Lake Police Department finds no evidence that this is a random act and says the public is not in any danger.
No further information was made available.
