SHAKOPEE, Minn. - Valleyfair will be open for normal park hours starting Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. after a power outage Tuesday afternoon.
Several of the rides at the park were stuck, such as the Ferris wheel and Wild Thing roller coaster, due to the power loss.
The people who were on the Wild Thing when it stalled had to be evacuated from the ride and walked down the tallest roller coaster at the park.
No injuries were reported.
Xcel Energy officials say the loss of power occured around 4:30 p.m. and crews fixed it about an hour and a half later.
Officials say the outage was caused by an equipment failure.
Officials closed the amusement park for the night.
