BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Shark Week started in 1987 and has now developed many loyal viewers. Originally started to raise awareness and respect for sharks, the week-long series on the Discovery Channel is now broadcast in 72 countries.
KARE 11's Bryan Piatt celebrated Shark Week Friday at SEA LIFE Minnesota at the Mall of America by snorkeling with the sharks.
