EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - The biggest question facing the Vikings this preseason is when or if Adrian Peterson will see the field.

If you ask him, Peterson will tell you he's ready to go.

Head coach Leslie Frazier had a little more of a wait-and-see attitude on Sunday.

On Monday night, an ESPN report says the Vikings will hold Peterson out of Friday night's game against San Diego.

The report also said that the plan is for Peterson to play in the team's first regular season game on Sept. 9.

The Vikings are not officially commenting on the report, but they did say that Frazier and Peterson will address the issue on Tuesday.

Friday's game will be televised on KARE 11 starting at 7 p.m.
