MINNEAPOLIS - Investigators are on the scene of a homicide in south Minneapolis Tuesday morning.

Police were alerted by shot spotter technology that a gun had been fired on the 2100 block of Oakland Avenue South. When officers arrived on the scene shortly after 6:45 a.m. they found an adult male dead inside a van.

The victim had been shot through the windshield of the vehicle.

Investigators say it appears there is no relationship between the vehicle and the man inside,  and the home where it was parked.

At this time there are no suspects or witnesses to the homicide.  Anyone who knows anything about the crime or who is responsible is urged to call Minneapolis Police.
