FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. - The Stratosphere Swing Tower stopped again in mid-air Friday morning.
Twenty-four riders were left hanging for approximately 45 minutes starting about 11:15 a.m.
A picture posted on Twitter by @nathaneide showed the riders stuck in approximately the same spot the ride stalled on Thursday.
The 200-foot-tall ride, making its debut at the Minnesota State Fair this year, stranded riders Thursday for about 20 minutes after a safety latch got jammed while the swings were descending.
State Fair officials said Thursday the stoppage was a safety precaution built into the ride, adding it was the first time such a stoppage had occurred on the ride.
The cause of Friday's stoppage is unknown at this time.
In both stoppages, a ride operator had to climb the tower to manually fix the latch.
