BECKER, Minn. - Becker Bulldogs head football coach Dwight Lundeen has become accustomed to winning.
But Thursday night was something special... something sweeter.
The 61-6 dismantling of Milaca marked Lundeen's 300th win. He is just the fourth high school coach in Minnesota history to hit that mark, joining Brainerd's Ron Stolski, Verndale's Mike Mahlen and Cambridge's George Larson.
"It takes a lot of things, a lot of people, a lot of players to get to 300 wins," Lundeen told the St. Cloud Times minutes after his historic achievement. "This is not about Dwight Lundeen. This is about a great football tradition."
On Friday, KARE 11's Randy Shaver made the trip to Becker to congratulate Lundeen on his 300th win, and ask him about why he's been so successful for so long.
