GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - A woman is dead and police are trying to figure out what led her to drive a car into a Golden Valley pond overnight.
An officer on the scene tells KARE 11 that someone noticed the car submerged on the east side of a pond near the intersection of Winnetka Avenue and 23rd Avenue North Thursday morning.
Investigators figure the vehicle entered the pond overnight. First responders discovered the body of the deceased female inside on Thursday morning.
At this point there is no word on the identity of the woman or what may have happened to cause the vehicle to enter the pond.
